Tara and the Vanishing Magic_ _ _ When Magic Fades, Effort Brings It Back

“ Sunday Stories: The Success Secrets of Extraordinary”

In the beautiful village of Rampur, there lived a little girl named Tara. Tara had a special gift—she could perform the most breathtaking magic tricks. With a flick of her fingers, she could make flowers bloom in winter, turn pebbles into glowing marbles, and even make tiny fireflies dance in the air like stars.

People from all over the village gathered to watch her perform.
“You’re a true magician, Tara!” they cheered.
Tara loved the applause and felt proud of her talent.

One evening, after an especially grand performance, an old magician named Gopal visited her. He had a long silver beard, twinkling eyes, and a robe that shimmered like the night sky.

He blessed her and said, “Every time you practice, you will shine brighter. You will soon become the most respected and great magician of the land.”
He also gave her a pouch of magical powder.

But Tara neither showed gratitude nor listened to his advice. She laughed proudly, “I don’t need to practice or use the magical powder! I already know everything.”

The Vanishing Magic

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Tara stopped practicing her tricks. She spent her time playing with her friends, chasing butterflies, and listening to village stories.

Then came the biggest event of the year—the Grand Festival of Lights. Lanterns glowed, drums beat loudly, and the entire village buzzed with excitement. Tara was the main performer, and everyone gathered in the town square to see her magic.

Tara stepped onto the stage confidently. She reached into her pocket for the magical powder—but it was almost gone! And the little that remained had turned dull and lifeless.

Her heart pounded. She tried to make flowers bloom—nothing happened. She waved her hands to create glowing marbles—but they remained ordinary pebbles.
The audience whispered, “Has Tara lost her magic?”

Panic rushed through her. She had always believed her magic would never leave her. But now, she realized the truth—her skills had faded because she had stopped practicing.

Tears filled her eyes as she ran off the stage, embarrassed.

Just then, she saw magician Gopal standing by the lanterns, watching her kindly.

“What happened to my magic?” she asked, her voice trembling.

Gopal smiled gently. “Magic, like any skill, needs practice to stay strong,” he said. “You forgot to nurture it.”

Restoring the Magic

Tara was determined to make things right. She practiced every day—repeating her old tricks, learning new ones, and perfecting every movement. She watched the fireflies closely, studied the stars, and practiced under the moonlight. Slowly, her magic dust regained its glow—brighter than ever before.

At the next festival, Tara stepped onto the stage once more. She took a deep breath and flicked her fingers. A swirl of glowing dust filled the air. Flowers bloomed in golden pots, pebbles turned into twinkling stars, and fireflies danced in shimmering patterns.

The crowd gasped in wonder, then erupted into cheers.

Tara smiled, knowing that her magic would never fade again—not because of luck, but because she had learned the most important lesson of all.

Moral:

Skills are like magic—if you don’t practice, they disappear. Keep learning, keep improving, and your magic will always shine!
